At AGTU we understand that knowledge is the key to personal transformation and development. When you join our institution, you not only begin an academic journey, but you become part of a community dedicated to excellence, ethics, and collective growth.
As part of this noble journey, it is imperative that we establish guidelines that promote an environment conducive to learning, innovation, and mutual respect. Therefore, we present the Student Code of Conduct, a guide that reflects the fundamental values that guide academic coexistence.
We commit to cultivating a space where diversity is celebrated and where each individual is valued for their unique contributions. We learn not just from books, but from each other, in a constant exchange of ideas, experiences, and perspectives.
And in this context, each student is committed to respecting academic integrity, promoting intellectual honesty, and ensuring collective well-being. This code is not just a set of rules, but a declaration of principles that reflects AGTU's commitment to the integral education of its students.
Here, we see each challenge as an opportunity for growth, each colleague as a potential collaborator, and each achievement as a step towards a more promising future. This is the spirit of AGTU University, where learning transcends the walls of the classroom, and the construction of knowledge is a collective journey.
Welcome to AGTU, where the pursuit of knowledge is intertwined with building solid bonds, preparing students not only for academic success, but for a life of meaning and contribution to society. This is our commitment, and each member of this community is a fundamental piece in building this exceptional educational legacy.

STUDENT PERSONAL CONDUCT
Students' personal conduct is considered a fundamental pillar in building a resilient, ethical academic community committed to individual and collective growth. Based on the intrinsic values of the institution and the expectations of exemplary conduct, we outline below the guidelines that guide the personal conduct of the AGTU student:
Respect and Empathy:
The AGTU student is committed to treating all members of the academic community with respect and empathy, recognizing the diversity of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. We seek to create an inclusive environment, where each person feels valued, heard, and respected for their individual differences.
Intellectual Honesty:
Academic integrity is a non-negotiable principle. AGTU students undertake to be honest in all academic activities, avoiding plagiarism and any form of intellectual dishonesty. We value the pursuit of genuine knowledge, encouraging originality and authenticity in all academic contributions.
Responsibility and Commitment:
We recognize the importance of individual responsibility in academic success and contribution to the community. AGTU students are committed to meeting deadlines, actively participating in classes, and contributing to a positive learning environment. Dedication to personal growth and collective development is fundamental to the full realization of academic potential.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
We foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, recognizing that the exchange of knowledge and experiences enriches everyone's learning. AGTU students are encouraged to actively participate in collaborative activities, promoting a dynamic and collaborative learning environment.
Digital and Virtual Ethics:
In an increasingly connected world, the personal conduct of AGTU students extends to the digital environment. We commit to using technology ethically, respecting copyright, privacy, and promoting online safety. Digital responsibility is a crucial extension of personal conduct, reflecting the same ethical standards adopted in the physical environment.
The student honor code is not a contract and does not create obligations that bind the university, but personal conduct is the visible expression of the values that underlie AGTU, shaping not only the academic trajectory but also the character and positive influence that every student can exercise in the world around them.
AGTU reserves the right to revise the student honor code at any time and for any reason, including an informal change to ensure impartiality and fairness in its procedures. It is important to emphasize that students are responsible and must know and comply with the terms of the Student Honor Code. Students are also responsible for and must report all circumstances that they consider to constitute a serious violation of the student honor code to the staff of AGTU - American Global Tech University.

This is what is expected of you while at AGTU – American Global Tech University:
You will only submit your own original work for assessment. You will show when you have used information provided by someone else, giving the person's name and where you found the information in their work (or portfolio). For example, if you use someone else's words, enclose the quote in quotation marks. You will also repeat this information at the end of the piece in a bibliography or references section. Your tutor will give you help with this. You should seek advice and guidance from tutors if you are unsure of how to do this correctly.
You will show when you have downloaded information from the Internet.
You will never use someone else's disc as your own, nor will you copy work from a disc belonging to someone else and use it as your own.
You will never use someone else's artwork, images, or graphics (including charts, spreadsheets, etc.) as if they were made by you or allow other students to use or copy your work and pass it off as if they had made it themselves.
All cases of suspected academic misconduct will be fully investigated by the Institution. If proven, disciplinary measures will be taken. The result will depend on the severity of the infraction. The team member who reviewed what you did will initially decide the severity of the case and then consult with senior colleagues.
